Buffaloes don't have wings
Any more than Billy goats
have claws because it would encumber,
Or even chintzify
their onrush
To knock us over.
Politicians have left and right wings
Which ulteriorly import motives - sometimes disastrous.
It would be nice to hide them in a basement,
file them away in some folder,
but predictably,
they escape to cross the line,
And knock us over.
